ABOUT THESE TERMS

These terms apply to the Real Talk Education LLC website and to the continuing education courses we offer. By using this website or registering for a course, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or register for a course.

Real Talk Education LLC is a Texas limited liability company and a continuing education provider approved by the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC), Provider No. 11372-CEP.

OUR COURSES AND CE CREDIT

Each course we offer is approved by TREC for a stated number of continuing education credit hours, under a specific TREC course number, and for a specific delivery method. The approved course title, course number, credit hours, delivery method, and tuition are listed on each course page.

CE credit is available only through a delivery method TREC has approved for that course. Some of our courses are approved for live in-person delivery only. Attending through an unapproved method, including a livestream, a recording, or another remote option, does not qualify for CE credit.

To earn CE credit you must:

Register in your own name, using the full legal name and Texas license number that match your TREC records
Attend the entire course session
Verify your identity when asked. For in-person classes this may include signing in and out and showing identification. For virtual classes this may include joining under your registered name and turning on your camera.
Take part in the attendance and participation checks the instructor conducts during class

Partial attendance does not earn partial credit. Arriving late, leaving early, or failing to complete identity verification or participation requirements may mean no credit is awarded. You may not share course access, send another person in your place, or claim credit for a session you did not fully attend.

We submit eligible course completion records to TREC not later than the 10th calendar day after the date the course is completed, as TREC rules require. TREC maintains the official continuing education record, and you should confirm that your credit appears in your TREC education record.

We cannot guarantee that TREC will award credit if you are not eligible under TREC rules, or if the required completion evidence is not satisfied.

COURSE FORMAT, PROGRESS, AND COMPLETION

Our courses are live, scheduled sessions led by an instructor, delivered in person or over Zoom. They are not self-paced, correspondence, or on-demand courses. Because of that:

There is no enrollment period, completion window, or expiration date to track. You complete the course by attending the session you registered for.
There is no saved progress, no partial completion, and no ability to pause and resume a course later. If you do not complete the session, nothing is carried forward.
Completion is determined at the session itself, from the attendance, identity verification, and participation records the instructor keeps.
Makeup sessions are not offered for one-hour courses, and there is no later window in which a missed session can be completed. See Cancellation, Refunds, and Transfers below.

If we offer a self-paced or distance education course in the future, the enrollment period, completion window, and progress tracking that apply to it will be stated on its course page and in its pre-enrollment agreement.

REGISTRATION, TUITION, AND PAYMENT

Tuition is shown on each course page. Registration is not complete until payment is processed, or until an approved sponsor code is applied. Some classes are sponsored, and a sponsor code may reduce your tuition to zero.

Each attendee must register individually. Individual registration is how we provide the required pre-enrollment information to each participant and keep the registration record we are required to keep as an approved provider.

PAYMENT PROCESSING

Payments are handled by the payment gateway built into our website platform, currently Wix Payments. That gateway is operated by an independent company, not by us. Your use of it is subject to that company's own terms and privacy policy, in addition to these terms.

We do not control the payment gateway. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for the gateway being unavailable, for a declined or duplicated transaction, for a processing error or delay, for any fee the gateway or your card issuer charges you, or for a security incident affecting the gateway. If a payment fails or is declined, your registration is not complete and we may release your seat.

If you believe you were charged in error, contact us first at the email address below and we will review it. Filing a chargeback with your card issuer before contacting us may delay resolution, and a chargeback does not by itself cancel your registration or change the refund terms below.

Approved refunds are returned through the same gateway. The gateway does not return its processing fee to us when we issue a refund, which is why approved refunds are issued less the non-refundable processing fee described below.

CANCELLATION, REFUNDS, AND TRANSFERS

The Real Talk CE Registration Policy and the Pre-Enrollment Agreement are presented to you at registration, and they govern cancellations, refunds, attendance, and transfers. In summary:

You may cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time. Approved refunds are issued less a non-refundable $1.00 processing fee.
No refund is given for a cancellation made fewer than 24 hours before the start time, for failing to attend, or for failing to meet attendance, identity verification, or participation requirements, unless we approve a written exception.
Makeup sessions are not offered for one-hour courses. If you miss a course, you may register for a future offering of the same approved course, subject to availability.
We may approve, in writing and at no charge, a transfer to a future offering for a documented emergency or technical problem.
If we cancel a course, you will receive a full refund of all fees paid, including the processing fee, or you may choose a credit toward another of our courses.

How to Request a Cancellation

You may cancel through the booking confirmation on our website, or by email to info@realtalkeducationllc.com. To qualify for a refund under the 24-hour rule, your cancellation must be received at least 24 hours before the scheduled course start time. Course times are Central Time unless the course page states otherwise.

Refunds are not issued automatically when a booking is canceled. We review and process approved refunds manually, and we will confirm by email once a refund has been issued.

Technical Difficulties

If a technical problem on our end prevents a course from being completed as scheduled, we may complete the required instruction at a rescheduled session, or cancel the course. If we cancel it, the full refund and course credit options above apply.

If a technical problem occurs on your end, including an internet outage, a device failure, or an inability to access the class platform, you may not receive CE credit if you cannot meet the attendance and participation requirements. A refund is not automatic in that situation. We may approve a transfer to a future offering at no charge for a documented technical problem.

If anything in these terms conflicts with the Registration Policy or the Pre-Enrollment Agreement you accepted at registration, those documents control.

COURSE MATERIALS

Course materials, including presentations, handouts, and activities, are provided for your personal educational use in the course you registered for.

You may download or print materials that we specifically make available for that purpose, for your own study. You may not otherwise record, photograph, copy, distribute, republish, sell, or teach from course materials without written permission from the rights holder.

Course materials may be owned by Real Talk Education LLC, by the instructor who developed the course, or by another rights holder, and are used with appropriate authorization. Registration grants you a limited right to use the materials for your own educational purposes. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership or any intellectual property right to you.

Our name, logo, provider number, and branding belong to Real Talk Education LLC. They may not be used to advertise, or to imply sponsorship, approval, or affiliation, without our written permission.

WEBSITE ACCOUNTS

If we offer a member or student account area, you are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, for keeping your login credentials confidential, and for activity that occurs under your account. Do not share your login. We may suspend or close an account that is shared or misused.

CLASSROOM CONDUCT

We expect professional conduct in our classes. A student who fails to participate, disrupts instruction, or behaves abusively toward the instructor or other students may be warned by the instructor or by the provider.

If the behavior continues after a warning, we may remove the student from the class and deny CE credit. We may act immediately, without a warning, where that is necessary to protect the safety of the instructor or other participants.

A student who attempts to defeat identity or attendance controls may be denied CE credit. A student removed for misconduct is not entitled to a refund or to CE credit.

COMMUNICATIONS

By registering or contacting us, you agree that we may contact you about your registration and the course you signed up for by email, phone, or text, using the contact information you provided. These messages may include registration confirmations, class reminders, schedule changes, attendance requirements, course materials, and anything else needed to administer your course.

Marketing is separate from course administration. We send promotional email only to people who have asked to receive it, and every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. We do not run a marketing text message program.

Opting out of marketing does not stop messages we need to send you about a course you are registered for, or notices we are required to send.

PRIVACY AND STUDENT INFORMATION

We collect and use personal information as necessary to operate our website, administer course registrations, verify student identity and attendance, process payments, and meet the reporting and recordkeeping requirements that apply to us as an approved provider.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share personal information, including information you provide during registration and what we are required to report to TREC. Please review it for details about our data practices.

EDUCATIONAL PURPOSE ONLY

Our courses and materials are educational. They are not legal, tax, financial, lending, or brokerage advice, and they do not create any professional or fiduciary relationship. Lending programs, guidelines, laws, and TREC rules change, and course content reflects information as of the date it was prepared. You are responsible for verifying current requirements and for your own compliance with TREC rules, your brokerage's policies, and applicable law.

Instructors may share practical experience and opinions. Those are the instructor's own, and are not a representation by Real Talk Education LLC or by any instructor's employer.

WEBSITE AND COURSE AVAILABILITY

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of our website, our course offerings, or a scheduled class. If we cancel a class you are registered for, the refund terms above apply. We do not guarantee that the website or a virtual class platform will be available without interruption.

DISCLAIMERS AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Our website, courses, and materials are provided as is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Real Talk Education LLC and its members, instructors, and contractors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or lost opportunities, arising out of your use of our website, courses, or materials. Our total liability for any claim relating to a course is limited to the amount you paid for that course.

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Texas law.

GOVERNING LAW AND VENUE

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute relating to these terms, our website, or our courses will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Angelina County, Texas, and you and we consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these terms. The new version will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continuing to use the website, or registering for a course after a change, means you accept the updated terms.
